Welcome to Soleil de Minuit's Magical Northern Lights Tour
Wrap yourself in the untouched magic of the Icelandic night and witness nature’s greatest light show! Once the sun sets over Reykjavik, the real magic begins. Our Northern Lights Tour takes you far away from the city's neon glow and into the ink-black darkness of the Icelandic countryside. Guided by expert aurora hunters who track real-time weather and cloud satellite data, you’ll journey to secluded, pristine locations optimized for the absolute best view of the ethereal green, purple, and crimson ribbons dancing across the starry sky.
The Itinerary: Hunting the Cosmic Lights
- The Night Departure: Board our warm, climate-controlled tour bus at your Reykjavik pickup location. Leave the city lights behind as your guide details the science, myths, and photography tips behind the Aurora Borealis.
- Into the Dark Wild: Rather than following a fixed route, our itinerary is dynamic! We head precisely where the latest meteorological data and cloud-cover satellite maps indicate the highest probability of clear skies.
- The Aurora Watch: Arrive at our carefully chosen dark-sky location. Step out under the stars to watch the stunning auroral displays unfold.
- A Warm Comfort: To keep the winter chill at bay while you view the skies and snap photos, your guide will serve steaming cups of traditional hot chocolate.
- Return Journey: After an unforgettable evening under the stars, relax on the cozy ride back to Reykjavik, dropping you directly back to your original pickup point
